Connectivity is the most important thing for most people today and auto companies are aware that they need to provide car buyers with better connectivity features in their vehicles. BMW has been focusing on introducing better devices and technologies that can help consumers to stay connected even while they are driving. BMW has already come up with the BMW ConnectedDrive that allows the driver to stay connected with the outside world while in the car and the German automaker has decided to take it to the next level in the future.
At the Connected Car Expo in the United States which is part of the Los Angeles Auto Show 2013 BMW is coming up with a better app that will make a lot of difference to how drivers stay connected to the outside world. The new app is called BMW M LapTimer and it will be designed for Apple iPhone. The new app will premiere at the Expo and is developed by BMW GmbH for performance-minded drivers that focus on race track analysis. The smartphone app will concentrate on acceleration, braking points, lap times and G-force which will allow drivers to compare their data with other drivers. For this drivers can connect their Apple iPhone to the BMW using the USB interface and the app will extract the data automatically.
